VCT Timeline

For VCT we were asked to make a text-based timeline focusing on an aspect of the development of a graphic design profession. For my timeline as you can see I chose the Dada movement, and i am very glad on choosing it as it was very easy to find research material on it. Some of the books that I used for my research are;

Hans Richter (1965) Dada Art and Anti-Art: Thames & Hudson ltd.

Mathew Gale (1997) Dada & Surrealism: Phaidon Press Limited

Dietmar Elger (2004) Dadaism: Taschen

Richard Hollis (1994) Graphic Design A Concise History: Thames & Hudson ltd

The Final Game for Okido

This is the final game, I am not quite satisfied with it as I think that I could have done much better than this.

Okido Project Final Game Development

The garden creatures I made for my final game using foam board and lead for the outline.
These are the flowers I made using crepe paper following the video on YouTube.
I made the pot using cork, and outlined it with lead.

The OKIDO Project

Above is a design idea for my final game that I am going to make for the Okido project. The theme I chose is diversity of living things. I think this idea can work well, but I am going to draw or make flowers and the garden creatures myself for the final game, the ones in the above game are actually scanned in buttons that I found from Hobby craft. I scanned them in, and then traced them in illustrator. Hopefully the ones that I will make myself will look much better.

OKIDO, The Mini Project

On the 11th of February we were briefed the Okido project by Rachel Ortas, one of the founders and designers of the Okido magazine. On the day of project we were given a mini project to do, we had to make a mini book, the theme that I chose for my book was parts of the body, which was one of the given themes. First I drew the whole thing onto paper, scanned it and rendered it on illustrator. i tried printing it on different types of papers as you can see below.
This is sort of a flatplan for my book. I printed it as it is and then folded it into a book.
