Today we had a pattern workshop with Jo. The workshop was very interesting. We were asked to design and make a pattern to use in our research book based on the theme Graphic London. We could either take a shape or image directly from the surroundings and make it into a graphic pattern or take a found object and make it into an interesting unique image using the technique of pattern making.
So I went out and took a few photos and collected maps and leaflets from the tube station. So when i cam back to the workshop and looked at all photos and collected material, I found the roundels for Transport for London quite interesting, as they come in four different combinations, one for general Transport for London, and others for London Buses, rivr and underground. So I combined them all together and tried to make a pattern with them. Here are a few images.
